“DINNER’S READY!”, Emily George, Dykebooks, Melbourne, 1985    88 pages

Mum never did any of those things for which people are recognised in society. She was a mother in the traditional sense of caring for and nurturing her children till they were old enough to look after themselves. There was nothing particularly remarkable in what she did. Except that as Mum was a major influence in the lives of her three children, Judith, Elizabeth and Ray, as most mothers tend to be, she deserves to be remembered for her efforts and some of the details of Mum’s life acknowledged as set down in this book.
